Camp Daisy Hindman is the setting for resident camp and horse program. The 186-acre camp is located along the eastern edge fo the Flint Hills tallgrass prairie - a natural icon of the Kansas landscape defined by ridges, limestone outcrops and sweeping ridges of big bluestem and other native prairie grasses and forbs. The camp's program spaces are nestled along a central valley and rise up along the rolling topography to offer framed views into the heart of camp and the surrounding landscape.
The master plan for Camp Daisy Hindman addresses the key drivers and demonstrated needs of the council for this property. The plan illustrates proposed elements including an enhanced property entrance and check-in station, a new camp commons, redeveloped Lake Odonata waterfront and proposed adventure elements along Power's Ridge.
Two primary axes exist at Camp Daisy Hindman: the first is a north-to-south axis that follows the stream flowline running through Lake Odonata, and; the second runs from the southwest to the northeast through the camp entrance to Power's Ridge. Lake Odonata exists at the intersection of these axes. Therefore, it is identified as a key element in the Camp Core and provides a setting for enhanced outdoor adventure, aquatic and other camp programming.

The Lake Odonata waterfront will include a boathouse and launch, swimming area, beach, pier and boardwalk. Amphitheaters are shown across the road from the beach and across the lake at Friendship Hill. The camp commons are shown to the left of the waterfront. The existing showerhouse and splash pad are shown above the pier.
